Answers to common questions about the process, payment, and more

How do I get started
Send me a short note about your product, your goals, and when you want it live. I'll tell you straight whether I'm the right fit. If I am, we can start within 24 hours.
What's included in a project?
Strategy, copy, design, and development. You hire one person and get the whole site, from the first conversation to the day it goes live. Nothing gets lost handing off from a designer to a developer, because they're the same person.
Do you write the copy, or do I provide it?
I write it. The words on a page do most of the selling, so I treat them as part of the design, not something you scramble to fill in at the end. Already have copy or brand guidelines? I'll build on them. If you don't, it's covered.
Will I be able to update the site myself after launch?
Yes, and I build with that in mind. The right tool depends on the project, but most of the time I use Framer, because it's quick to build in and easy for your team to change later. Editing text, swapping an image, adding a blog post: you can do all of it without calling a developer. The site is yours, fully.
Can you guarantee more conversions?
No honest designer will promise you a number. What I can tell you is that conversion is the whole reason the site is built the way it is. The layout, the message, the loading speed, the order things appear in, all of it is decided around getting people to act.
What if I'm not happy with the direction?
We sort that out before it can become a problem. At the start we agree on the direction together, and I keep refining it until you're actually happy with where it's heading. Only then do I build the full site, and you still get revision rounds after that. You never pay for something you didn't sign off on.
How do payments and timelines work?
Most sites take around two weeks, and you'll have the timeline in writing before we begin. Payment is split in half: half to start, half when the site is delivered. Everything runs through Contra, which keeps messages, files, and payments in one safe place.
