The situation
RUMB had a product, but its brand, website and interface needed to work as one. For a founder building a product solo, bringing in separate designers for each part would mean more coordination and a harder job keeping everything consistent.
The challenge was to make the product easier to understand, give it a clear identity and create a coherent experience across every touchpoint.
What I did
I took ownership of the entire design process, from brand identity and UX research to the marketing website, product interface and admin dashboard. Working directly with the founder, I shaped the product’s visual direction, organised its structure and turned it into an experience people could navigate and understand.
Rather than treating each deliverable as a separate task, I built a consistent design system that connected the brand, website and product. This gave RUMB a recognisable identity and a clearer way to communicate what it does, both to users and potential partners.
What came out of it
RUMB got a cohesive brand, a clear website and a unified product experience, all designed to work together. The founder could focus on building the business without having to coordinate multiple designers or piece together disconnected design decisions.
The result was a more complete, presentable product, ready to be introduced to users and potential partners.
12 weeks / brand, site and product
I’m a backend developer and originally built this project on my own. When Sergei joined, he helped turn a large amount of scattered information into a clear and structured system. He translated the project from a developer’s perspective into something that made sense to users, established the visual direction, and turned my idea into a recognizable brand.
